Anita Sokhal
My original training began in beauty therapy (BTEC Nat. Diploma 1988-90), with over 30 years’ experience in the industry to date, including post-graduate courses in Aromatherapy (Eve Taylor School), Reflexology (International Dermal Institute), Indian Head Massage (incorporating traditional techniques passed down from my mother – who learnt the art of Champissage in India) and Reiki – of which I attained Mastership level.
I am also a qualified teacher, having worked in a college of further education with beauty therapy students and have studied counselling ( Carl Rogers – Humanistic Method) – both courses being City & Guilds accredited.
I have always maintained a holistic approach to my therapies, whereby I look at lifestyle and habits of clients in order to ascertain the effects of these on their health in general, stress levels, energy /fatigue, nutrition, sleeping patterns, rest/relaxation and, above all, SKIN, which reveals the tell-tale signs of life-management and internal imbalances.
Face-mapping allows me to give detailed feedback as to specific concerns regarding skin care.
The life-coaching skills I acquired as a meta-physical practitioner of the ‘Louise Hay’ method (Birmingham University – July 2000) also provide me with the perfect platform to enable rapid results!
In a time-starved society, my aim is to provide unparalleled treatments in the most relaxed environment with emphasis on excellence. In-depth consultation, course of action and then continual management are the principles of my business – The House of Beauty – inner and outer – where mind, body and soul become ONE.
